This is an intellectual game which tests our observation. At the first face, there are 8 little balls moving around each other within a red plate, nothing special. But actually, every ball is making rectilinear motion! Press the red “To verify it” at the bottom, obvious is that each ball performs the Simple Harmonic Oscillation around the center of the plate. All of these “Simple Harmonic Oscillators” comply with the definite phase offsets, and then this amazing animation comes out. Never believe your eyes anymore? Pressing the “To verify it” label again, the oscillation paths will disappear. Moreover, the slider beneath can set the vibration frequencies for the oscillating balls (0.2 - 1.5 Hz). Pretty interesting, right? Let’s take a rest and activate our right hemisphere right now!
